This season so far....

#1 Postby ~SirCane » Fri Aug 13, 2004 10:57 pm

Is INCREDIBLY busy. It was DEAD as a doornail all the way till the last day of July then BANG. It's like they're popping up left and right! Now it looks like future Hurricane Earl could cause us problems late next week. Its latitude is so low I think it's a high possibility it's going to be another Gulf hurricane. We'll really have to watch this one. We may have had a late start to the season, but at this moment it's reminding me of 1995. I got hit by Erin and Opal that year and was threatened by Allison. Seems like this year we're going to have an abnormal amount of landfalls AND we're only on the D storm and we've already had TWO MAJOR Hurricanes. And, we're only in the end of the 2nd week of August. Interesting times INDEED.

Glad to be back on the board. Haven't been here since last year. Looking forward to being here the rest of this busy season!

I'm thinking it might be a 4 or 5 major year at this rate. I can't imagine having just one more. So far of the first 5 Bonnie is the only one that won't have made hurricane if the forcasts on Danielle and TD5 pan out. That's GOT to be above average...

I think Dr. Gray was a little too premature to reduce the # of storms by 1! In just 2 weeks time we're going to have made it to the E storm after having ZILCH!
