Whatare the chances of an eastward shift in the track?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Nothing is for sure. I imagine the Gulf Stream will put alittle pressure on the system to turn right. This is not a classic hurricane round ext but it sure could become one if everything works out.

No No No..Just when I got out of the landfall brushing..you have to bring this up..lol Well it's going NE eventually so another adjustment to the east would be no surprise..

Oh okay.... Im just a little concerned if Charley has some plans of his own and stays over water a little bit more than expected, because then a lot of rain will hit the NE....

It's becoming LESS likely IMO. A landfall farther north in Florida delays it.

Looks like the GFDL shifted slightly to the EAST, taking it over Sarasota/Bradenton

Thanks MortisFL for the link
