Information from a Live NWS Melbourne, FL Broadcast

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Wed Aug 11, 2004 10:57 am

The National Weather Service in Melbourne had a live NOAA Weather Radio Broadcast with two meteorologists (I am not sure what their names are) from 11:30 to 11:45 AM Eastern.

They said that as of this morning Charley will become a hurricane and move from the Florida Keys to near/or over Orlando area, then to around Daytona
Beach up to the South Carolina/North Carolina border.

Current prognostications indicate that the system will travel these 675 miles (from the Keys to the South Carolina/North Carolina border) between
6 AM Eastern, Friday to 6 AM Eastern.

I am and probably most of you will see how this current and future forecasts compare to the actual track as we go through time.
