93L looking very impressive on visable...

#1 Postby SouthFLTropics » Mon Aug 09, 2004 7:54 am

This morning 93L looks extremely impressive on the visable loops. It would not suprise me at all if a LLC is in the formation stage at this time. It will be very interesting to see what the winds are when it goes through the islands. Shear seems to not be as bad in the region as it was last week and possibly the only thing that will inhibit development is the location of the LLC, given that it is so close to South America. I agree with some other posters on the board when asking why the NHC has not scheduled a recon for today into this system???

93L certainly has gusty winds associated with it. At 8 a.m. local time, winds were from the east sustained at 29 mph, gusting to 53 mph at Grantley Adams airport on Barbados.
