The GFDL forms 91L takes it into the western Florida as a 80 knot hurricane... http://bricker.met.psu.edu/trop-cgi/gfd ... =Animation

Then takes it up the east coast into long island!

93L Makes it quite strong cat2 by 108 to 120 hours!!! Takes it through the Caribbean!

Matthew: Those winds are at a height of 950mb, so your 80knots is more like 65, a minimal hurricane.

Houstoner: Maybe because you're from Houston.

After hitting West Florida, it has 91L moving over the SE states for about 24 hours, as a Cat 1 hurricane, until it moves of the Virginia coast. It obviously can't be remain hurricane over land.

The steering is for a tropical storm with surface pressures that don't go below 1000 MB's till it almost makes landfall. Maybe they haven't had their coffee yet this morning?

Watch the next run. I bet it dissipates both systems after 24 hours.
