tropical wave along 40/41W

#1 Postby OURAGAN » Sat Aug 07, 2004 12:43 pm

TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 1100 NM E OF BARBADOS ALONG 40W/41W
S OF 16N MOVING W 15 KT. THE WAVE HAS A BROAD BUT WELL-DEFINED
CIRCULATION CENTERED ALONG 10N...BUT IT IS NOT CLEAR WHETHER OR
NOT A SFC LOW HAS FORMED ALONG THE AXIS. TSTMS ARE LOOSELY
ORGANIZED OVER THE WRN SEMICIRCLE OF THE CIRCULATION...BUT THE
COVERAGE IS PROBABLY BEING LIMITED BY THE ENTRAINMENT OF DRIER
AIR FROM THE N. WIDELY SCATTERED MODERATE CONVECTION FROM 7N-13N
BETWEEN 41W-49W.
