Where are the GOM 'Canes?

#1 Postby Anonymous » Tue Aug 03, 2004 12:50 am

Now that the Atlantic has a tropical cyclone, Where is the first Gulf of Mexico tropical cyclone?

Besides, I am staying with some relatives down here in Central Texas. Yeah folks, IT'S HOT DOWN HERE!! I am staying in Buda, Texas. Buda is a small town about 20 miles south-southwest of Austin, on I-35. It's hot, humid, and dusty as all heck down here. It hit 93 degrees today, with a 73-degree dewpoint. The sun angle is higher down here in Texas than it is in northern Virginia and the sun just beats down!! We have an in-ground pool and it loses an inch of water everyday to evaporation.

I have been here since June 9. I was originally supposed to go home to Virginia on June 24, but I am helping my relatives here and they asked me to stay, so I will now be staying here until September 23!!!!

This means that GOM hurricanes are now in MY BACKYARD!!! I think this is gonna be a good season for GOM 'Canes! If any show up, I'll be watching 'em!
