The wave behind 91L

That wave behind 91L looks more healthy than the proper 91L at this time and this one is what the models are jumping on.

Clarify something for me Cycloneye which wave is 91L? My impression is that it was the wave at 34W and not the one at 45W.

Wave arriving at 39-40w at this moment I am typing this is 91L.It is moving fast between 20-25 mph and that has been the problem as east shear hasn't let the convection consolidate.

I was just looking at the imagery and saw that wave too. Then I read your post. You confirmed my suspicions that it looks very healthy compared to 91L

just give it time... it will fade just like 91L did a few days ago... it is still too early for a wave to come off the coast of africa and crank up quickly... the water temps are cooler just ahead of it off the coast.. 91L has a great low level circulation with it though... it will come back to life... i promise you..

It does look good with more convection...Could this be the one the models are picking up on instead of 91L? Its August and definitely ripe for systems to develop off Africa so we shall see.
