More confirmation of no el nino during hurricane season

Really nothing new to say about this new update about ENSO except that some warming has taken place at el nino 3-4 regions but not sufficient to catalogue it as el nino may be comming.Maybe by years end a weak el nino may appear but it is too early to conclude it will happen but for sure during the hurricane season thru november no el nino will be in place.

I don't know why, but I have the feeling that 2005 will be an El Nino year. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

BTW, if conditions are right, can the Atlantic "ignore" an El Nino and have an active season anyway? I thought I heard that there was a strong El Nino during the 1969 season, yet that season was 13/10/5. There were also 5 unnamed storms, some of which were hurricanes.
