#1 Postby cycloneye » Tue Mar 25, 2003 4:17 pm

Time has gone very fast and now we are comming very close to what by all indications will be an active season.

My forecast and I will do only one this season will come out on may 1 so all here wait for it.

Are you ready for the good discussions and anaylisis here from the experts?

Debbie yes this is the place to be because we will have plenty of information and more important not words and not things that you may not understand but in simple anaylisis that you will get the information clear.

By the way my forecast for the 2003 season will not be a very long one because you dont have to do many paragrafhs when in a more short and clear way you can do it and that is what I will do on may 1.
Others do very long forecasts and use many words and grafics that many dont understand but again I wont do that.

I agree with Luis. One of the goals of STORM2K is to help understand in common terms what is going on during the tropical season. We have members from the absolute beginner to trained mets. Some of us who have been in the group for years have learned as we went. Hopefully we will be able to all learn from each other this year!

And Shannon you are waiting the cane season because in a not distant future you may be flying in the hurricane hunters as that is your ambition.

I would give my left.. you know what... to catch a hop on one of the Hurricane Hunters when they were going into a real storm! Talk about a roller coaster ride to beat all! :D

I'll have something about the season, though I have been advised NOT to give exact numbers. Therefore, I will only give a brief general idea. For more details, I would advise one to either use Dr Gray's forecast, or the NOAA forecast

I look forward to watching and discussing the tropics with all of you. I have been following the tropics for the past few years, but I am far from very knowledgable in this discipline.
