Houston/Galveston Hurricane Workshop Tonight

#1 Postby wxman57 » Tue May 25, 2004 7:19 am

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/hgx/tropical/workshop04.htm

We'll be there exhibiting, though I don't know why, as I think that most of our customers would elect NOT to come there after a long day at work. If they continue this evening workshop, this may be our last time there. But we'll see.

As an identifier, look for me at one of the weather company booths with "wxman57" written on my name tag.

The only reason I'm going is for a chance to win one of those generators that Home Depot or Lowes usually gives away at the end. :D

No vendor map. Usually there are 2-3 weather companies there, the Red Cross, Houston/Galveston NWS booth, Plylox people, Home Depot, and maybe Lowes. There are maybe 15-20 vendors total.

We're set up in the corner to the left as you walk in - right next to Home Depot.

To identify me, look for "S2K" in the lower right-hand corner of my name badge.

Trim your pine trees like I did mine - down to about 2 feet below ground - and you'll have no problems with them.

Wxman, How was the workshop? I didnt make it, but I really wanted to... Since you are a fellow Houstonion, which met do you like? As far as local weather/local newstations? Cut my pine trees to 2 feet below ground?? Then I would have no trees, though, no trees is prob better than having these pine trees...

I thought the workshop was great, particularly when they called #163 for the 3750 watt generator from Home Depot and I had that ticket!

If any of you were there, that was me picking up the generator at the end. :D :D :D :D :D
