Storm capsizes ferry off of Bangladesh coast, Scores missing

#1 Postby FWBHurricane » Sun May 23, 2004 6:59 pm

Just off the coast of Dhaka, Bangladesh...an over-crowded ferry was caught in the winds and stormy seas of the strom. It capsized with all on board, scores are dead and/or missing. 250 passengers were on board. Most of the passengers were asleep at the time of the accident so officials think most of the people are still trapted in the hull of the ship. 50 made it out of the boat and swam to shore. This incident just occured a few days after Tropical Cyclone 02b hit the Bangladesh/Burma boarder.

I also heard about that, poor people, when things go wrong for them, they always are hard hit.
