See everything streaming off to the East just N of the islands? Thjat is called beign sheared away. It is a broad trough of low pressure and multiple vortices developing all over,with an attendant low pressure area, but there is almost no chance of development. Harbinger of things to come? Possibly! It is early to even see this much of that type of activity.

Exactly. Come back here (as in... this area) when the shear lifts and then we could have something... assuming we have nice looking waves like these in the Atlantic presently.

I agree... Don't hold your breath... The shear is way to strong and does not look likely to relax anytime soon.. No need to wish-cast.. There will be plenty to track soon enough..

Looks the same
That system looks the same on sattelite today as it did yesterday. No better..no worse. There is a narrow timeframe for tropical development but it appears less likely than it did yesterday.
