But being may dont expect nothing from it in terms of development.If it was august or september this convective area would be favored for development but at this time in may conditions are not ripped for development as shear and cool waters dominate and you will see this blob fall apart. However the parade of tropical waves emerging Africa will start very soon and we will be watching to see from those waves which of them will develop into more than a wave especially from late july,August and September when the Cape Verde season kicks off into full speed.

I know. I watched wave after wave come off last year(and the years before LOL) in June and most of July and fall apart.

But for being may I agree that it is a bomb so early comming out of Africa and will it be a signal of an active Cape Verde season later on?.

This well may be the first tropical wave that has emerged Africa as surface data from Dakar indicate that.But some tops of the clouds are warming already indicating weakening.However as I said above for being may it is an impressive feature that has emerged Africa.

It fell apart tonight as it was expected as almost all deep convection is gone but only some moderate convection and also is well south of 10n.However it is interesting to see those bomb waves comming out of Africa in may.But let's wait for the real prime time for that region by late july,august and september and thigs will be very different than what they are now with shear and cool waters.
