The Day After Tomorrow preview
I saw the DAT preview on Fox last night and liked what I saw so far.
One interesting item- the NOAA logo is plastered all over the place in offices (NOAA office, in the movie, of course) and on jackets, etc.
I wonder if NOAA will get a bad rap from this or will some good come out? Guess I'll have to wait until the movie hits the screens on May 28.
There is at least one cool hurricane shot in the movie- and it even looks pretty good, nice eyewall and everything. Hopefully, someone did their homework on this one and it won't be silly like Twister was. A lot of people liked Twister- and it was a neat movie, but it was silly at times and people said lines that they didn't even understand. I'll take Dennis Quaid over Cary Elwes any day.
That's all from me on that topic.

DAT
I am going to go see it with my colleague Jesse Bass (vacanechaser) in Charlotte- the night before the Coca-cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. We're going to be in the parade lap that day (Sunday) and will be in the Charlotte area, of course. I'm looking forward to this one. I've been watching the previews on Apple.com for months now.

Exactly! I will see the movie because I want to see the awesome special effects, etc. but it's not reality. lol
We've been near record lows quite a bit in May and late April way down here. Darn global warming!

Anyway, I can't wait to see it.
