Keesler AFB Open House
On April 24, 2004, Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi will have an open house. This will be an excellent opertunity to visit with the Hurricane Hunters and tour their C-130J aircraft. This is the first open house in four years. I attended the last open house and spent some time with the hunters. I got to sit in the cockpit and had a pilot explain how he flys the aircraft into a hurricane. I also visited with a weather officer and she showed me how they do an dropsonde. This is a very interesting and informative event for any hurricane fanatic. I highly recommend this event, and who know perhaps one of you will have the luck of running into MGC...........MGC
