It has a big eye and the convection is not too deep near the eye as no reds are seen.

Thanks for the link...it sure looks just like a hurricane though, just backwards 8-) .

Remember, Hurricane Isabel did not have that deep convection either near landfall... Looks very similar... Cooler air at lower levels may have hurt Izzy... However, here in Virginia, the wind was plenty strong... Just interesting to watch... Just the shot in the arm I needed... LOL!!!

There aren't many reds because water temperatures are just about marginal, but, who would say that this is impeding development. On the contrary, the system has a well-organized CDO and still organizing further. It probably had until recently, help from baroclinic influences. Next thing to watch is for any signs of a slow down. If that happens, it might not quite make it to the coastline. Let's see what happens and keep witnessing this unbelievable event.
