Tropical Cyclone Fay May Impact NW Australia

#1 Postby Guest » Mon Mar 22, 2004 4:18 pm

Tropical Cyclone Fay continues to intensify & the forecast track now aims her at the NW Australian coastline as the cyclone is expected to track SW & then SSW.The forecast calls for winds to reach 150 MPH with gusts nearing 180 MPH in 2 days.

No immediate threat as of yet but it is sure getting interesting on the opposite side of the planet.

HMM...I don't know if there is a real threat or not...Another graphic I just looked at does'nt show the forecasted turn SSW & keeps Fay moving Wward.

I normally dont keep track of those storms over there, just something I started doing as of late.Keep your eyes on it none the less it is a nice lookin storm.

well not from that part of the world but..

the first one is forecast track and forecast wind radius, the other is current wind radius and past track only

Thanks *StOrmsPr*...I just failed to see that they are 1 day ahead of us over there so I jumped the gun a bit...Looks like someone over there is going to get a pretty significant cyclone.

Can't wait for the Atlantic season to start.
