Who is the best NHC forecaster?

If you want to mention more than one do so.

I say that Stacy Stewart is the best.He makes very long discussions and I like his style of saying all the things that are happening and will happen to a system.

I chose Stewart too. No bias in the forecasts nor killing off the cane before it gets started. :)

I like Avila even though he tends to be conservative. When he says development I listen :-)

Stewart gets my vote with Avila a close second. They tend to provide good complete info and also seem to balance each other out sometimes so us Amatuers can "read between the lines".

I agree with alot of you about Stacey & Avila & I agree with mf_dolphin about when Avila says development, more than likely somethings going to pop.

Also...Lawrence does a good job too.

I have no reason not to agree. I follow the tropics, but it isn't always that easy to know the ongoing record of each forecaster.

So far, the same members that voted and responded to this question last year are the only ones taking part this time, except for MIA_canetrakker.

thought I would get in on this.. Having met all of them over the past several years with Mark Sudduth, I would say Stewart and Jack Beven as a tie.. Both give great insite into what they think is happening and could happen in the short and long term... All of them are great... But those 2 guys, we look for them on the outlooks and discussions... I always seem to learn something new from both when reading their write ups...

Hey everyone

It's been a long time since I've been around more like 4-5 months. It's great to be back and it won't be long until the 04' season kicks off. Discussion wise Stewart IMO hands down is best followed by Avila.

I picked Avila. I like stewart as well. I think, as Marshall said, Avila usually lets me know if I have to worry or not. They are all good

Stewart as well for me. I love great discussions and he is at the top imo for the discussions he provides!
