Fay is still gathering strength as she marches through the Timor Sea. Expect continued strengthening for most of the period. Fay is forecast to reach peak intensity toward the end of the forecast period as she is forecasted to become a 140 mph cyclone.

Potential for development: Fair
95P is slowly coming together along the northern Australian coast. With the weakening shear aloft and favorable environment, expect 95P to potentially become a cyclone within the next few days. We’ll have to stay tuned.

Last night’s invest is still located in the Gulf of Carpentaria. With its close proximity to land, no guidance has been issued by the JTWC. Regardless, we’ll still have to monitor this invest.

Maximum sustained winds are 15 mph
The new invest for today is located between the Cocos Islands and Christmas Island. This system has the possibility to grow with plenty of open waters ahead of it. We’ll have to stay tuned.
