12Z GFS shows a small feature at the surface

Now, don't get too excited about this, but the 12Z GFS shows a curious little surface "hump" along the isobars starting at about 66 hours.

Look way out in the east Atlantic between the Azores and the Cape Verdes. There is an upper low there that looks to get down to the surface some as the frames move on....

As I said, not much to even consider worrying about, but neat to look at considering we are getting closer every day.

I will finally be up to speed so to speak. I was so frustrated last year in chat. when everyone had the links of the satellites open and was viewing them. I was still waiting for my old dinosaur computer to load them

There is no chance of this "hump" developing into anything. it has never happened in March at least not in that area.

Yep ... in 1908, a March storm (hurricane) did crop up but much farther west than what the 12z GFS depicts ... and it's just that ... an upper system which maybe having some convective feedback issues which in turn kinks the isobars a bit ...
