This may or may not be exciting for folks here, but visitors to my site will be able to access a 180 hour GFS loop. Check out the working exameple here:

It is based on the operational GFS found at the NCEP site. In the above example, I am using today's 18Z run showing MSLP out to 180 hours. Beyond that time, who cares? Even 6 days out and beyond is a little crazy. It's cool, as you might already know with this type of JAVA animation, you can use the left and right arrow keys to zip through the frames. They go lightning fast and can go back and forth. This will be a great tool during hurricane season. I can automatically retrieve the GIF images and have my computer upload them to my server every 6 hours. I figure I'll do this for the MSLP, 500MB and 200MB outputs. I am testing it right now- and so far, so good.
