Cycloneye
Cycloneye, you deleted my topic, right? It looks like we posted about a minute apart. Anyway, are we in September or what? What the heck is going on?? Could we expect the R storm and S storm as well?? WOW!! NHC...where's the Special Tropical Disturbance Statement??? To me, It could be anyone's guess if it's purely tropical or subtropical. I think they will go with subtropical being as conservative as they are plus it is still somewhat attached to the trough to the east. Although, it could be anyone's guess. WOW!

Peter will move a little west to around 40w and thencurve to the north being a fish storm all the time and not be a threat to the islands.Wow what a 2003 season amazing to have a storm in the eastern atlantic for the first time EVER in december.

Ana - First tropical storm EVER in April (North Atlantic)

Claudette - Only tropical storm to form in "graveyard" eastern Caribbean (middle of July)
Danny - Farthest NE tropical cyclone EVER in July
TD 6 - Rare development so far east so early (third week in July)
Nicholas - Farthest east Cape Verde storm to form so late (second week in October)
Odette - First tropical storm to form in Caribbean in December
Peter - First named storm to form in Eastern Atlantic outside of Hurricane Season EVER
May I continue???

Nothing from the TPC yet but the model runs from an hour ago say Peter...and the system is being carried as 21L and not 99L...
20...Odette
21...Peter
Man oh man oh man oh man...convection is tight but not all that deep...but sure looks like a closed tropical system.

tropicalweatherwatcher wrote:also Luis not to mention the fact it is rare for a tropical storm to form in the tropics in December it is unprecedented for 2 tropical storms to develop south of 20°N in December. Or even unprecedented for two tropical storms to develop in December.
This 2003 season has been from start to how long it will end

Deleting Posts?
I enjoy this BB but find it over moderated sometimes, why delete someones post to put your in the forefront? I agree with the idea that it was repetative but seems kind of unfair. I think this BB would attract more if the moderators did not overwhelm the non moderators and let things fly. I am not a troll or a weenie JMHO

Good point. It's especially true if the similar post has some extra information. Rather discouraging to see your posts deleted when you've looked hard for new info.
