Weren't we supposed to have a new flood plain map out this past summer?

Flood maps for anywhere

#4 Postby hurricanetrack » Mon Dec 08, 2003 10:38 pm

For what it's worth, I know of a guy who works for the Corps of Engineers and he is quite knowledgeable about flood maps and who is updating and who is not. He is a study manager for the Corps and works on the Hurricane Evacuation Studies (HES). Now- he is more along the lines of storm surge, not freshwater flooding. However, I will ask him if he knows about any updates going on in Texas.

Give me a couple of days and I'll post the answer as a "new topic".

The believe the new flood plain maps are out. Check with your local OEM or Harris County OEM. I have the site marked at work. If I can make this feeble mind remember I will get it for you. I will ask at work to be sure, but as far as I know they are out and available.
