Boy, I love this re-analysis thing they got going! The link below shows that Tropical Storm Claudette reached 80 mph on July 10, 2003 before rapidly weakening to 45-60 mph for days as it crossed into the Gulf, then making landfall near Matagorda Bay, Texas as a strong category 1 hurricane with winds of 90 mph. Just thought you should know that the reports for Bill, Claudette, TD-6, TD-9, Henri, and TD-14 are out. Here's the Claudette link:

This is not a reanalysis project. This is standard procedure that everyone in the field knows happens. The best track is not the advisory track, the best track is the scientific track that is used for scientific purposes. The track that you receive in the advisories is for a totally different purpose

AOML does the reanalysis project ... as Derek stated this is the preliminary best track and revisions for the season.

reanalysis
AOML's Hurricane Research Division is conducting the re-analysis review and proposing changes to the official tracks, but the decisions on whether to actually accept these proposed changes to the tracks are made by NHC.
