Low Finding a Focal Point

#1 Postby Steve H. » Fri Oct 31, 2003 8:03 am

Which appears to be at about 28N/65.3W, and in the last Dvorak loop you'll notice coming form right to left, so I'm thinkin' its getting ready to make the west-southwest move. Early pix give the appearance of two center; the aforementioned and one to the SW of that position. But that area should tuck under the one at 28N. How far south does she go?? Nobody knows, but looks to go south of 27N at least. How strong?? That is a real unknown IMO, due to the fact that it may be ready to tap energy from the Caribbean. Happy Friday....

Thank you Steve about the Happy Friday :) and we shall see how strong. Assuming the waters' are still warm, I would not be surprised to see a TD or TS come out of this.

My big question is who's late season rainmaker would it be..? Florida's maybe? or would it get curved right back out to sea.

Not sure yet. Hard to believe that this would dive all the way to Cuba though. Think whatever it is will cross the Forida Peninsula somewhere, and have an opportunity in the SE GOM to pump up.

I have to agree Steve., Going all the way far south to Cuba seems like a stretch. Is the NHC going to send any planes out today or over the weekend..? I'd like to see what they think.. Plus I'd like to see a late season storm. It's been too quiet in here lately lol
