1030 PM EDT THU OCT 2 2003

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM LARRY...LOCATED ABOUT 160 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF VERACRUZ
MEXICO AND ON HURRICANE KATE...LOCATED ABOUT 1100 MILES
EAST-SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED ABOUT 800 NM EAST OF THE LESSER
ANTILLES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE AND AN UPPER-LEVEL
TROUGH. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE
FORMATION.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
FRIDAY.
