Cpr models are rated after hurrs, by their miles of error at various timelines.
We need such for humans, to end the debates about
"Joe B. is the greatest"
" Bevin is tops"
"Ignore so and so, he's always -removed-"
For non hurricane areas, tv mets need to be rated on mundane measures, like tstorm tracks and windspeed, or ... you experts name a better measure. I not sure how.
Perhaps a crude beginning could be done as a continually re edited post here, comparing three controversial mets and their success progging Larry at Sat ooooZ, then Mon ooooZ. Miles of error would be posted.
Joe B,
Bevin,
and ?
Experts, pls mull this over. Newbies are whipsawed by the conflicting proggs and could use some mathematized history of these forcasters.
Thanks,
John New Orleans
