Statement as of 10:30 PM EDT on October 1, 2003
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly-formed
Tropical Storm Larry...located about 300 miles east-southeast of
Tampico Mexico and on Hurricane Kate...located about 1295 miles
east of Bermuda.
Showers and thunderstorms centered about 750 miles east of the
Lesser Antilles are associated with a tropical wave. Upper-level
winds are expected to remain unfavorable for development.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through
Friday.

That wave i wouldn't be surprised if it develped if it survives to get in the western Caribbean this is the last impressive wave that emerged from Africa (the one after Kate - it was V shaped while over Africa)
