That position is in the middle of the BOC so look at that area and not look at the other blobs in the GOM.

There is nothing there yet. If there is anything spinning it's NE of that area right now. I guess we'll get more concrete information once recon reports back.

The actual low is NW of the Yucatan, almost into the SW GOM. That is where the low is! Look at the visible loop. This area will get close to the coast of Mexico for the next few days; Crawl near the TX/MX border, then move toward the NE during the weekend. All areas in the GOM need to monitor this pup during the next week. It could even make landfall in Mexico and that would be the end of it. But we won't get off that easy - it'll sit. Look at it this way. If it stays there long enough it will inhibit storm development for the next 2 weeks, bringing us closer to the end of the season :o

The actual low is northwest of the Yucatan, which is almost the southern or southeastern Gulf of Mexico,
not almost in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico.
