Unofficial start of the Real season.

Most know that most of the Real season is the next eight weeks (Aug 15 to Oct 15). It is the time when the majority of hurricanes form. Here we figure that if we make it past these weeks we are pretty free and clear. For those who think that the season is over already the reality is it now just starting.

Many understand the peak months are August-October, but last year many members on here as well as forecasters and meteorologists were saying how the lid would suddenly come off and it would quickly ramp up come late August.

That never happened and instead we only got a quick one or so week period where we saw our only two hurricanes and a few other storms which overall all struggled to get very far.

By the looks of things now and what forecasters (such as CSU) are expecting is a below average period for at least the next two weeks. I personally think this season will be even quieter than last season, and the peak period of around the 10th of September will only feature a slight uptick in activity at the very most.

This is just my opinion though!
