Compelling Youtube of Philippine Typhoon

This video has a real professional production quality to it; not like some of the previous Youtube videos I saw immediately after Haiyan.

Even though this contains still photography, it really tells the story of the effects of the typhoons on the Philippines and Filipino people.

It has always been a cardinal sin of journalism (chapter 1 of the journalism 101 textbook) for the "journalist" or photographer to make or try to make any part of the story about themselves; to inject themselves into the real story. . . Not only is that bad journalism, it is pretentious-ness of the highest order.

In this case the real story is the typhoons, and how the typhoons affected the local populace. That is what this production does; not like some of the recent storm chaser videos that concentrate on the chasers themselves. This is created by a professional; the others by obvious amateurs and attention seekers; despite the fact that they do also show some of the extreme winds of the typhoon itself. The actual extreme wind scenes on video are of much value; I do agree with that.

The video of the surge rising rapidly on the eastern flank of the Philippines also does not break the cardinal sin of journalism and also only shows the typhoon; albeit a home "ameteur" video by a local resident. That video is also compelling meteorologically.

This video simply tells the story of the typhoons; it does not interject the journalist unnecessarily into the story. The story is big enough in itself.

Umm....I don't think those photos are from Typhoon Haiyan. Some possibly, but definitely not all of them.

I think some of the photos included in the video are Sat Image of typhoon Haiyan, Usagi, Bopha; typhoons in Taiwan, Tidal bore in China, past monsoon floods in the Philippines, flooding brought by Tropical Storm Ketsana, Damages from Tropical Storm Washi & Bopha, surge in the Manila bay during Typhoon Nesat, and of course some photos of Haiyan

I don't think there was any deception intended by the producer / poster of the video.

You don't have to attack our fellow storm chasers and people who were affected by this storm. Reporter Atom Araullo was outside reporting during the storm. They are not attention-seekers as what you said.

You are attacking those who took videos of the storm, which is we, in the Filipino culture, rude. Many people are affected of this statement.

MY POST IS NOT TO OFFEND ANYONE. IF SO, THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION. I WILL RESPECT YOURS, TOO.
