What is the dashed line here?

What is the dashed line here running from the Gulf of Mexico through the Caribbean and all the way across to Western Sahara in NW Africa?
Is that the subtropical ridge?

I believe that is a line of a tropical wave. Someone correct me, if I am wrong, please.
