ImpactWeather Webinar - August 3rd

#1 Postby southerngale » Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:17 pm

ImpactWeather is having another Webinar. The last one was very interesting and I registered for this one too.

I got this in an email:

In the wake of Alex and Bonnie and as we transition into August, we’re currently experiencing a lull in tropical activity. Based on a number of different indicators, however, we expect tropical activity to increase substantially from the 2nd to the 4th weeks of August.

Join us next Tuesday, August 3rd at 10:30 AM CDT for an online presentation of the release of our updated outlook for the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Hosted by ImpactWeather Lead Hurricane Meteorologist Chris Hebert, this free, 20-minute webinar will examine the latest trends that we are monitoring across the tropics and the corresponding updates to our previous forecast. There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the session.

Register today at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/133033408

Upon registering, you will receive a confirmation email and then a single reminder email the day before the event.

Regards,

Peak of season will be later than September 10 due to strong LaNina.
Fewer storms than originally forecast, but still active.
Awaiting next positive phase of MJO.
