One other predictor. And I'll take it!

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

One other predictor. And I'll take it!

#1 Postby OuterBanker » Sat Apr 10, 2010 10:04 am

Good old WSR. A little off the wall maybe (based on earth orbit I think). Only named 8 storms, and most important they think a way below strike for the east coast north of Fla (20% as opposed to 51% normally for Ga to NC). Of course I wouldn't want to live on the west coast of Fla (90%), or the east coast (70%) for that matter.

They have always been off the wall, has anyone checked their history for accuracy?

Some of their proclaimed credits for forecast verifications are comical in most past seasons, lol.

I think Tia Dalma is their main prognosticator.

(Trivia, think of the Pirates of the Caribbean character)

I think given every other factor, this forecast is set for the rubbish bin...the only way it verifies is if the El Nino comes back again, which certainly isn't forecasted though you never quite know 100% of course!
