You can see the Atlantic ITCZ finally making a re-appearance.

It will be interesting to see if the ITCZ starts to lift northward more earlier than normal this year.

Given the AO has been mega negative this winter, I've got my doubts it'll be in any hurry since the jet stream has been very surpressed across the entire globe...I'd guess it may take longer then normal though obviously once things become more favourable its got a mightly warm Atlantic to feed off...just depends on the ENSO state, if that weakens then things become real interesting...

the ITCZ souldnt be north of 0 before april ,but that is when we look at the start of the first tropical waves of the season in the ITCZ

As May arrives nornally the ITCZ starts to lift northward and again this year is the case as right now is around mainly 6N-7N.
