WPAC AREA SHOWING SOME POSSIBLE FORMATION WITHIN NEXT 5 DAYS

#1 Postby weathergaines » Mon Nov 16, 2009 2:49 am

Waves of monsoon trough (ITCZ) 0N to 11N latitude showing some activity and probably cause some formation within the next 96-144hrs as shear remain relax and vortices showing some multiple build up along the area. Though no invest still spotted over the moment however, the kind of environment along the area suggests a possibility of formation.

ECMWF has been hinting at some sort of formation for the last 3 runs now. November is a month notorious for spawning very strong typhoons so it'll be interesting to see if anything transpires - early days yet.

Latest ECMWF now forecasting 2 typhoons to form, one near Guam and the other near the Philippines. I think something is going to go pop soon somewhere in the Wpac.
