Just wanted to point out that the sun is up above the equator now and should start warming up the northern hemisphere SST's. Winter went by fast and the 2009 season is right around the corner.
It makes sense to me that the below average activity in the rest of the world should portend an active Atlantic season if the Nina holds.

Well it all depends on the La Nina, if we see us getting towards El Nino then the Pacific activity will likely increase in response, just as saw to some degree in 2006, though I think it'll take a little longer for El Nino to kick in then in 2006 I suspect.
Still S.Hemisphere has struggled this winter in terms of TC somewhat, though there is still April.

I can't compute what EPAC will do in relation to this. My guess is just by the fact the rest of the world is weak in activity means the chances are greater Atlantic will be active.
