Hurricane NewOrleans

#1 Postby Eyewall » Mon May 12, 2008 9:55 pm

Hello everyone my name is Simeon and I have been visitor on this board for many years but never became a member till today.Looking forward to this hurricane season I have a feeling things will be instering for the Gulf coast. I also want to mention I am from NewOrlenas so I have a good understanding of what it's like to go through a major hurricane. I live on the west bank side right near the Harvey canal and it does not take a major hurricane for it to come over.

Welcome! I'm to your west in Vermilion Parish. Let's hope that the season is not threatening to any of us.

Welcome to S2K! 8-) No offense but I sure hope your wrong in regards to an active TC year for the GOM; crude oil/gasoline prices are high enough already.

Welcome to S2K,
I am in Lafourche Parish to your southwest. If you need anything or have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Most of the folks here are wonderful, helpful and genuinely nice people. The info you will get here is second only to the NHC but with more personal insight and analysis.
Again Welcome,
Tim

Welcome to S2K. I have a house in Marrero and lived there for 19 years. I am now on the MS gulf coast but my son and DIL live in my house in Marrero so have a big interest in GOM storms. I stayed here in Ocean Springs in my apartment on highway 90 so was way closer than I should have been to the Katrina action. Won't make that mistake ever again. :double:

I came back to a flat tire once after about a week parked in Cocodrie.

And I spent almost two weeks at the Holiday Inn in the French Quarter covering for a log analyst who took a week's vacation, then extended it almost a week for a death in the family.

Glad that was on someone else's tab.
