oh okay, that is what I thought.

Yes, I will definitely be watching this wave as it looks like it could develop over the next couple of days.

11:30 AM TWO.

Fellow members who live in the Eastern Caribbean Islands let's watch the progress of this wave.

I was wondering if anything would come of this wave...I knew I shouldn't have come home for lunch!

it looks to be moving very rapidly. Wouldn't that mean the chances of cyclone development would be low until it's forward speed slowed down some?

Wave looking better than yesterday. But, looking at that buoy data, pressures remain about the same as this time yesterday.

THE ATLANTIC OCEAN TROPICAL WAVE WHICH IS ALONG 49W/50W SOUTH
OF 19N MOVING WEST 10 TO 15 KT REALLY LOOKS GREAT ON VISIBLE
SATELLITE IMAGERY. CYCLONIC FLOW IN THE LOW CLOUDS COVERS THE
ATLANTIC WATERS FROM 10N TO 17N BETWEEN 45W AND 56W. SCATTERED
MODERATE TO ISOLATED STRONG SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM
13N TO 17N BETWEEN 48W AND 55W. SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF
THIS SYSTEM MAY OCCUR DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO.

2 PM Discussion.

any speculation on future track yet?

Looks like it's moving nearly due W, maybe just slightly north of W with a strong ridge above it.

Yes moving westward. We have to watch it as slowly it's organizing according to the 5:30 PM outlook from NHC.Regardless if it develops or not it will be a wet Halloween day for the NE Caribbean islands.

SATELLITE IMAGES INDICATE THAT THE SHOWER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH A
TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 600 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER ANTILLES
IS SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE
BECOMING A LITTLE MORE FAVORABLE FOR SLOW DEVELOPMENT DURING THE
NEXT DAY OR TWO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES WESTWARD.

Luis, not much interest yet in this blob. That is because most people in S. Florida are still in the dark.

I personally think this one will be Gamma down the road. It's starting to have alot of moderate to strong convection blowing up this afternoon.

No troughs in sight for the next 10 days so this baby should continue off to the west for a while with the strong ridging above it. In fact this ridging extends all the way through to where Beta is and is helping Beta move westward (although heights above Beta building are the long-term cause of the Beta's westward movement).

I was looking at temperatures up in the northeast U.S towards the end of this coming week and it's not getting cold yet...so no troughs to make this a fish unfortunately 8-)
