Lots of intermittent heavy rain here east of Tampa, tornado watches & warnings all morning but they were mostly further south & east of us. Also saw a flood watch issued before I left for work.

I wish TWC would show more live reports! all I keep seeing is a recorded report from Fort Myers (WELL south of where this is heading)! Don't they have people further north?

Cape Coral - steady rain, light at times, with brief heavy downfalls... overall, just what I'd call "nasty"...

Winds are still light along the Florida West Coast. I just checked all of the observations and the highest wind I can find is East at 7mph....

it is just the calm before the storm...

Gainesville is still pretty quiet. We have had just the lightest spits of rain and heavy grey cloud cover, but nothing else of note. What a time for the battery in my anemometer to die!

Getting a good squall now, windy and heavy rain. Power just went out briefly. Just long enough to mess up the clocks and my computer.
