Here is the map of those who have posted on the first 3 pages only (not including our UK poster  ):

Image

(It looks like some names weren't displayed on the Google Earth display, but that's only because the placemarks are too close together.)

Great map MTM...it will be great to be able to look at this map when a storm is threatening to see exactly who is in the path. Thanks so much.

I wonder if this should be a sticky, so that we can keep on eye on our fellow S2K'ers when a TS or hurricane comes through. Just a thought.

I think the lack of exactitude isn't a problem, we're getting a really good close idea of where people are (you don't have to see Culebra or Vieques the islands themselves to see where knotimpaired and myself are). If a storm comes close to your location...we're going to have you in our thoughts, for sure! And most likely be reading it here!

I suppose so ...

BTW, Google Earth sure is a neat tool ... type in

25° 57' 3" N , 80° 10' 1" W

and you'll zoom right in on my air conditioning unit. :-)

I know it appears so, but it's because GE sometimes wants to display labels in different positions whenever another placemark is very close to them. Here's another zoomed shot of the Miami area which shows your placemark in the same position as it was before, but labeled more clearly:

LOL. I updated your position. :P

Love the maps! Thanks!

They should be "stickyed" and updated throughout the season!

You probably mean 41°56' N and 70°39' W. :) For future reference, everyone, using degrees/minutes instead of degrees and decimals of degrees definitely makes a difference.

For those of you using Google Earth to determine your latitude/longitude, you can switch between either one in the Options menu.
