ChillyWater - I meant to get back to you and got distracted. The meteostar is a great view, and yes it looks to me like Ivan is going SW for the moment. It even looks like intensity is diminishing over the island. I think they need to just keep playing the music.

I too am a novice at this forecasting stuff and I've tried to follow this change in motion on some of the other S2K threads, and others are noticing the shift too. Some suggestions that this may be the beginning of the change the models are reflecting as they shift west. As hopeful as it is for Jamaica, in the back of my mind I know it may not bode well for Cuba and perhaps even the US.

Bob Seager's Like a Rock.

I worked with a Jamaican artist for few years in the 90s.

When we went throught Erin and Opal, he told me the poor and uneducated would put large boulders on their roofs.....thinking that would hold the roof down during a hurricane.....

Really!!!

We can only handle one thing at a time and its tough to even think about Cuba and US right now.

Maybe they need to borrow some of the music they play down in Jamaica.

How can you not "feel" whats going on.

I feel as if I can here prayers and the rosary being prayed and I can see the tears in many eyes right now.

Thanks a lot for that cut and paste stuff, guys. I would have never heard the end of "Like a Rock" if it weren't for you.

I can't believe live radio is going there on right now...

MAN - Jamaica is "bleeding" right now!

Now is not the time to lose a nerve. Stay together, we are here and you are there.

This is a moment of test.

Now is the time to show resolve, courage and most of all to have faith!

WOMAN - We haven't been hearing what is going on.

< Clip of whats going on outside >

For those of you still not able to hear this......

if you wanna scare yourself silly....turn your sub-woofer up REALLY high while they play the wind sounds....and thats probably not even CLOSE to the reality they are facing

Yes it is chilling to listen to the hurricane following the music they have been playing.

The sense of community is amazing...

LOL Kids are sleeping. I'm going to take your advice and scare the hell out of them the next time they play the wind sounds.
