I think they should get Hurricane Hunters out there b/c this thing hasn't followed any of the models and for all we know with the way this thing has been acting it could be a cat 5 heading for the USA or the islands in a few days!

The NHC and the Hurricane Hunters probably blew their budget for research flights by late August this year, so I'd be extremely surprised to see anything like that unless it was looking like Eppie had a shot at being anything more than a threat to shipping lanes.

well they are forcasting it to weaken and by the time it gets any where near land there would be nothing left of it but then again they have been forcasting it to weaken for like the past few days and yet it hasn't been. Theres really no Scientific explanation to explain why this thing has been doing what it has been so right now IMO the NHC is just going by what it should be doing and the models which have been really good this year however they have been wrong with this storm for a while now! lol So I don't think any one can be 100% sure its not going to make a landfall as a hurricane or at the very least a Tropical storm.

Man, this thing is a warrior! Don't be surprised if Epsilon fights off the unfavorable conditions and hangs on longer than expected. It's 2005, what do you expect?
