Just got quasi-band #3. My guess is probably .2", 10 minutes of rain and some gusts into the 20's on the backside. While Cindy is not steadily increasing, my buzz sure is :) /for Rainband. Otherwise, things (besides my grass which several other posters already mentioned) are looking pretty good here - breezy, tropical, rainy.

Jimi Hendrix said it best:

Rainy day, rain all day
Ain't no use in gettin' uptight
Just let it groove its own way
Let it drain your worries away yeah
Lay back and groove on a rainy day hey
Lay back and dream on a rainy day.

The rain is coming though you'll be on the outer edge of it. I saw just SE of you in southern Tangipahoa Parish bordering Lake Maurepas that they're already in the 6-8" rainfall estimates. I'm guessing that's out around Manchac or Ruddock in the swamp that-a-way. /Abita Wheat, cloudy skies and occasional rain (some heavy) is in the forecast. ;)

I'm getting clouds and off and on drizzle. Been doing that most of the morning. I'll only be on the outer edge of everything, it seems.

If the track stays the same it should be interesting here in St Bernard Parish during the night.

New Orleans... drizzle with no wind. Weird, I would have expected it to be a little breezy.

Feeder Band #4 (a milder one) in process. Light rain, almost no wind and I gotta go outside to see how dark the sky is. After this one and maybe one more, we should start getting in on some of the notable stuff.

I'm on the far western edge of Cindy's rain shield, and expect to stay there, since she will pass to my east. Have had very light rain for the past half hour to hour, nonstop, the steadiest rain I've had all day. No wind to speak of, the wind is dead calm here.

Very light rain and light winds in Uptown New Orleans...can clearly see the bands with heavy rain and wind about 60 to 70 miles due South of here on radar. I only hope that we do not lose power tonight. That would be bad..I hate that part of a storm.
