That is from 7 hours ago..

it is 100% closed.

Visible satellite imagery suggests it is getting close. You can clearly see eastward moving flow in the southern flank of the disturbance. Maybe the next ASCAT pass will be able to show if it’s closed or not.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Looks like a closed LLC is there but time is ticking down on this being able to reach TC status.

This is 100% closed. In fact, it is a rather large low now. Pretty amazing how quickly it has developed.

If this persists, it should become a tropical cyclone.

This kind of came out of nowhere but its looking pretty good. Should be an invest soon and odds of development should be going up soon.
