Originally from the Netherlands, Europe. My new base was/is the nature island of the Caribbean..Dominica (NOT the Dominican Republic!) Just took a trawler from Daytona beach to Dominica. We will live on the boat from now on. Soon on my way to get to Grenada as that's where we at least are insured (the boat) 12.40 N down is the insurance border to be insured.

At the present time my home base is in High Ridge, Missouri. Family in the past, allowed me to travel to Florida, Texas, and Europe. My present job allows me to work and live in interesting locations. Eleventh grade was spent in and around South Florida, in particular Homestead AFB in 71, 72. This is where I became interested in TC. My job allows me to know many interesting people, with diverse backgrounds. Our weather club has at the present time, over 10 people, with hundreds who enjoy our local and world weather reports/comments. I concentrate on TC; others in our group report on local weather or severe conditions. My agency is growing with new members joining our weather club in the last year. All members of our weather club have college degrees, who challenge each other to improve reports and information e-mails we send around the agency. My busy schedule allows me only limited time to write and share my story. 8-)

Hello Board...It's great to be back. I see many of the usual suspects and new members as well. Welcome. I thought we could post a geographic location to go with the name. I look forward to everyone's input...

Vortex: Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL

Thanks for the warm welcome Vortex!

I'm from Coconut Creek, Florida (Broward County) by way of SE Michigan. I was turned-on to this site by some geeky weather freak with whom I used to work. I'm sure you know the type....gets a bit of a woody with each passing tropical wave! You know....very geeky and needs to spend more time in the gym!

Have a great day my friend!
