You don't honestly believe there are 60 KT winds in this system, do you? Those are rain contaminated readings...

Well, the GFS indicates a ridge building over the Bahamas on Saturday and building westward across the Gulf on Sunday/Monday. No other trof digging down. The ECMWF may be a little stronger with the ridge over the Bahamas and Gulf by the weekend. Both would indicate westerly movement by anything in the Caribbean.

I've been looking at the system as it has been evolving over the day and there seem to be a more concentrated area of shower trying to consoliate itself around the presumed LLC.

Those tracks are going to depend on how far north it gets before the ridge builds in and how deep a system we are dealing with.

Here's a recent sat pic with lat/lon lines and the area in question circled. Convection remains quite weak and disorganized. I really don't think it has much of a chance to get organized until it slows down, and that may not be for 5-6 days.

It isn't moving that fast the NHC only says it is moving 15-20mph. That is not bad. What would be bad is 25-30mph.

I think I would have an easier time discerning what you're saying if you used punctuation marks between your sentences.

actually, it looks like the major flare-up i was talking about in my above post looks, at least IMO, a relocation of the circ.

look at this IR image from accuweather

The TW is now appearing in the picture. No doubt a big wave. http://www.goes.noaa.gov/HURRLOOPS/huvsloop.html I bet the windwards even the leewards are going to get a good soaking. I dont see any spinning or whatever but the size is what impresses me.
