And TWC isnt the Hurricane authority, the NHC is.

And speaking of commericals, thats all it is. and I HATE that "Head On" commercial, I change the channel when it comes on.
Dr. Lyons usually just goes with NHC.

Didn't he work at the NHC for a time?

I think the person who designed that commercial should probably die for the betterment of mankind.

I'm glad that arrow is there. I'd never be able to find my forehead without it there to show me where it is. :P

well, the weaker it is, the more west it may go. i doubt it gets all the way to texas though. its moving further west already. the frictional effects of land may be keeping the weak circ over land

Hmm, I like TWC. They ARE The Hurricane Authority on television, IMO.

And I think tonight there might not have been as much coverage seeing as how one year ago tonight we were on the eve of the worst disaster in US history.

Well, the major news outlets always try to jump all over coverage.

Oh, well. I like TWC and hold it in high respect. [/myopinion]

Yeah, that always irked me when CNN has that "Your Hurricane Headquarters" stuff. It's nonsense to the extreme.

The bottom line is TWC and alot of TV METS just go with what the Hurricane center says, alot of them not all.

Oh come on Stephanie you have to love TWC. Without them Storm2K wouldn't have so many people looking for real information. It isn't a bash to say they are a joke when it comes to their tropical updates. Fact is fact it's just to bad the station that brought us John Hope has degenerated into what it is now.

You are absolutely correct.
TWC made me yearn for some REAL info beyond what I could read in advisories and discussions from the NHC.

In fact, they don't really even touch on the discussions.

It's a shame because back when they had John Hope they DID provide more than what I could get from your run-of-the-mill TV Met.
Now it has degenerated into not much.
