Um, no. Actually I don't ever predict. That's not my job, I leave that up to the professionals. On this board, however I know everyone has a right to make predictions. I'm just making an observation about those who do predict, often times are more inclined to predict (dare I say w---cast) landfall nearest themselves. Besides why would I want another storm here. We've had our share.

OUCH!!!
Had your share? What's a share?
did we all get our share?
who didn't get a fair share?

Well you can define "share" however you want to. I define it as having 3 storms in less than 6 weeks, winds up to 105 mph and a total of 10 days without power, my porch roof blown off and all my shade trees blown down. Granted it sure could have been worse, and was/is for many people, but for an inland city that hadn't been hit in over 40 years it was plenty. That's what I'd call "more than our fair share". :P

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanks for your reply. As I wrote that description of what we went thru last year it did sound pretty minor compared to a lot of other people, and it certainly was relatively speaking. So I sort of expected some sarcasm from someone.

jax, I hear your pain. This looks like it is going to be our 4th this season. More than I want. I lost 2 windows in Dennis, but not much other than the vegetation in Katrina and Rita. Oh, well.

Unfortunately for me, I am hoping that it turns south and either hits the Keys or is south of the Keys for the mainlands sake. We in the Keys (well some of us ;) ), accept that we are a BIG target for these things.

Anyway, stay safe!

Yepper...
I'ts been 7 weeks now without power at my rental home...
Power company is telling me they won't turn my power on
untill I get me ceilings and sheetrock back up. I'm telling
them that It would be a lot easier to do the work with the
power on... I'm trying my best to get the house liveable so
they will have a place to stay... Haven't even seen my ajuster
yet either. But the good news is... I got the plumbing done
and the waters back on!
